(Not So) Quiet Day
Shutting Up as a Spiritual Practice

I have been back from my trip to Uganda and Rwanda with Amahoro Africa for four weeks. On the day I was leaving Africa, I noticed that I'd gotten bitten on the leg by some kind of insect--two red, itchy bumps developed over the course of the day. These bites became a souvenier of the trip, my reminder to myself that I have just recently been in a different world. This morning, I noticed that these two bites have just about completely faded away. I was immediately aware of the time that has now elapsed since I've returned. I'm afraid that my memories will also fade. It's high time I make good on my promise to write about the trip on this blog.

More to come, soon!
